The American Heart Association has established a network of Training Centers to broaden its outreach of Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) educational programs and strengthen the AHA Chain of Survival. By training more people to do high quality CPR, use an automated external defibrillator, and integrate Advanced Cardiac and Pediatric Advanced Life Support into their resuscitation efforts, we know we can save more lives. The Iowa Western Community College Training Center was established for just that reason: to promote quality ECC programming, and strengthen the chain of survival in SW Iowa and beyond.

Justin Mayabb has been selected as the New Training Center Coordinator at Iowa Western.
The 2015 BLS Guidelines are in effect for BLS Healthcare Provider. You received an email from AHA stating that you are to be teaching the new guidelines exclusively by April 15th. Your new skills sheets are on the CD that comes with your Instructor manual that should have been purchased. I have the new tests that go with the new guidelines. You need to contact me so we can talk about the changes in your new Instructor Manual and information on the CD and then I will issue the tests. I will not issue cards on the old materials. If you have yet to purchase a new Instructor manual please contact me ASAP.
Heartsaver material is now available to purchase. You have until June 27th before the new guidelines are exclusive.
